How to import your appointments from Google or Apple Calendar

Bring your upcoming appointments over from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or any calendar app. Check each one, then import it with one click.

Moving to Calenti from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or another calendar app? You don't have to type your upcoming appointments in again. Calenti reads them, suggests the client, phone and service for each one, and you check them before anything is imported.

1. Choose where your appointments are

Open Settings → Import and find Import appointments from your calendar. Pick whose calendar it is, then one of:

  • Calendar file. On a Mac, open Calendar, select the calendar and choose File → Export → Export…. In Google Calendar on a computer, use Settings → Import & export → Export. Outlook and most other apps can export the same kind of file (.ics).
  • iCloud link. On an iPhone, open Calendar, tap Calendars, tap ⓘ next to the calendar, switch on Public Calendar and tap Share Link. Paste the link into Calenti. You can switch it off again when you are done.
  • Google Calendar. If that person's Google Calendar is connected (in My Profile → Calendar & contacts sync), Calenti reads it directly.

Calenti reads the next 12 months. An appointment that repeats, like every four weeks, becomes one booking for each upcoming date.

2. Check every appointment

Each appointment becomes a row with the name, surname, phone, service, date and time. Calenti fills in what it can find in the event: a phone number, a client you already have, a service name. Anything else written in the event goes into the comments, so nothing is lost.

  • Nothing is ticked to start with. Tick the rows that are right.
  • Fix a row by editing it, then tick it.
  • Red means something is missing. A row needs a name and a service before you can tick it.
  • A row without a phone can still be imported. That client just won't get SMS reminders until you add their number.
  • Rows that are not appointments, like a dentist visit, can be left unticked.

Tick all complete rows ticks every row that has a name, phone and service and does not overlap another booking.

3. Import

Choose Import. Your ticked appointments appear in the Calenti calendar straight away.

Appointments already in Calenti are skipped, so you can run the import again later without making duplicates.
